Once we have completed a project, we retire it in our Software to prevent confusion. Here are the typical steps:
- Go to the Asana project and add a final project update with the “Complete” status:
- Archive the project in Asana and remove it from any portfolios it is in
- Go to the Project Plan, change the status to “Project Complete”, and update the timeline to match the final deploy date.
- Check if there is an Invoice due upon completion of the project. If so, issue it.
- Double-check that all the hours in Harvest are accurate and in the right locations. Then, archive the Harvest project.
